Problem Solving – Team Building
If you enjoy working out puzzles and like trying to solve practical problems, then our problem-solving tasks are likely to be the ideal activities for you. We have a vast array of problem-solving activities within our repertoire, and we can no doubt organise the perfect problem-solving day/half day for you and your group. We can create a bespoke session to meet your individual requirements. This activity is well suited to groups larger than 4 and corporate groups.
Like problem-solving, our team building activities require a lot of thought, communication, and practical involvement. These sessions require communication skills and team participation to achieve success. We have a wide collection of team building activities that we can select from, to create a custom-made team building session for yourself and your group. Team building is perfectly suited to corporate groups and large groups of friends and families.
Archery
Have you ever felt like learning a new skill? Why not get hands on with a bow and arrow in one of our half day (3 hours) archery sessions.
Safety is paramount to Adventure North West and our instructors will always brief you on all necessary safety protocols around the activity prior to you beginning. If you or your group have a competitive streak, we can ensure that your session incorporates a competitive element. Whether you are an accomplished archer or a complete novice our experienced instructors will be on hand to assist you in developing your skills. Regardless of your experience from the start of the session until the end there will be a clear improvement within your skill level. You never know you might just hit gold!
Ideal locations are hotel grounds around the Lake District and Lancashire area.
Raft Building
This is the ideal activity for groups of 4 or more who want to challenge both the mind and body. The aim of the session is for you and your group to work out how to build a raft using only wooden spars, barrels and rope.
So, think carefully about how you build it, otherwise you might end up with a different view of the lake when you are in it! You will then be expected to launch your raft on a lake and paddle to a given destination – that’s if it stays in one piece! If you are up for more challenges and games, your instructor will get you involved in doing little challenges when you are out on the lake – be aware you are likely to get wet!
With larger groups, you might be working in teams, in competition against one another. When out on the water you can then choose to take part in some games, such as races or tug of war between the two rafts (wetsuits and helmets are provided). This activity is very well suited to stag and hen groups, as well as, larger groups of friends and families.
